In colder regions like ours, this Pieris will have a much restrained, slower development. Spectacular foliage with fire red new shoots, turning bronze green and finally lustrous dark green. White hanging panicles of flowers appear in early spring. Trim after flowering, if needed. Plant in an area sheltered from winter winds or in an area with a good accumulation of snow.
