In autumn, we marvel at the bright yellow, orange, and red foliage. If you dream of enjoying this beautiful display in your own landscape, there is no need to wait!
The Benefits of Late-Season Planting :
• Your plants will be one year ahead by the following summer. You will be able to enjoy spring blooms, fruit, and beautiful foliage during their very first season!
• Spring watering is easier to manage when the soil is already well saturated with snowmelt. During the first summer after planting, new plants require careful and adequate watering. Plants planted the previous fall, however, already have approximately two months of root development by the time the summer heat arrives.
• Transplant stress is reduced thanks to the slow, gradual growth that takes place in spring. The effects of cut roots, lack of water, heat, transportation, and other stresses are therefore lessened.
• It is also easier on your wallet! In fall, you can take advantage of end-of-season promotions. It is definitely worth considering!
