With their moss-green glazed finish and a look that is both simple and elegant, these birdhouses will appeal to small, discreet birds like wrens. Part of their charm lies in the natural branch used as a perch.

| Several trees bloom particularly early, with flower buds opening at the same time as the leaves emerge. Japanese cherry trees are among the best known. Thanks to gradual climate changes, these Prunus varieties can now thrive in the warmest regions of the province. |

| Early-blooming perennials bring a fresh, youthful look to your garden as soon as the first warm days arrive. Use them in clusters or as focal points in front of conifers or fences. |

Phlox divaricata ‘May Breeze'
& ‘Blue Moon' |
These new shade-tolerant varieties act as ground cover, adding to their appeal. Let them spread naturally for a striking visual effect.
'May Breeze' features delicate pale blue blooms and grows to about 35 cm in height, while 'Blue Moon', with its richer blue-violet tones, can reach up to 60 cm. As with all phlox, planting them in a well-ventilated area helps prevent foliage diseases. They are also known to be unappealing to deer, while pollinators absolutely love them.

Viola Spring Morning 'Bumble Bee' & Spring Morning 'Glow' |
These perennial violets thrive in full sun to partial shade and bring early-season color to the garden. Naturally early bloomers, they may go dormant during the heat of mid-summer, but their low, spreading habit makes them an excellent ground cover while they are active. The cultivars in the Spring Morning serie are also known for their improved tolerance to summer heat, extending their garden performance.
'Bumble Bee' stands out with its striking corn-yellow flowers delicately streaked with fine brown lines. It grows to about 20 cm in height and spreads up to 45 cm, with the added bonus of blooming again in the fall. 'Glow', on the other hand, features classic violet tones accented by a bright yellow lower petal. Particularly drought-tolerant, this variety may even avoid summer dormancy under the right conditions.

Cut back ornamental grasses left standing over winter before new growth appears. For Miscanthus, trim stems to about 30 cm above the ground. |

Even the most enthusiastic gardeners can feel overwhelmed by weeding as early as late May. A new product has been designed to help: organic chopped wheat straw.
It helps prevent weed growth, protects soil from erosion, improves rainwater absorption, and naturally composts over time.
